Sirocco is a macOS app that uploads files from a folder you choose to a cloud storage account you own. This policy describes what the app can access and what happens to your data. The short version: your files go directly from your Mac to your own Dropbox or Google Drive. We never see them.
Sirocco has no backend. The app talks directly to the Dropbox and Google Drive APIs over TLS from your Mac. Your files, file names, and folder structure are never sent to us or to any third party other than the cloud provider you linked.
drive.file scope,
which means it can only see and manage files and folders it created for you. It
cannot read anything else in your Drive.Sirocco's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Creating a shared link is an explicit action you take per file. Links are created by your cloud provider under your account and follow that provider's sharing settings. Sirocco copies the link to your clipboard and does not store or transmit it elsewhere.
Sirocco Pro is sold through Polar (polar.sh), who acts as merchant of record and processes payment details; Sirocco never sees your card information. The app validates your license key against Polar's API. See Polar's privacy policy.
The app contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising SDKs, or crash reporters.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
